About Nathan E. Wilkinson

Bio

As a dedicated father, husband, and passionate Aggie, Nathan E. Wilkinson anchors his life in family and service. An honors alumnus in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M, he’s currently advancing his education with a Master’s in Public Service & Administration, emphasizing Public Policy and Homeland & National Security. With aspirations for a Ph.D. in Agriculture Policy, Nathan aims to explore Agricultural Policy and its critical role in National Security.

Nathan's military tenure as a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant with the 82nd Airborne Division notably shaped his perspective. His experience in long-range reconnaissance and target interdiction for multiple combat deployments underpins his commitment to his comrades and his connection to veterans' advocacy, both locally and at Texas A&M, where he served as a Military Admissions Counseling Advisor. He also contributes as the Vice Chairman of Brazos Valley Cares, a leading regional veterans' charity. Nathan currently works for Texas A&M University in the Career Center as the Assistant Director of Employment Services connecting employers to Aggies. His extensive public service, marked by his roles as mayor, commissioner, and city councilman, complements over a decade’s experience in operations and non-profit management. Based in College Station with his wife, Megan, they are ardent supporters of veterans' academics and interests. Nathan’s diverse service portfolio includes FEMA search and rescue operations and managing medical logistics for the American Red Cross during disasters. His leadership during the Camp Fire Incident, aiding over 60,000 of his displaced neighbors, is a testament to his commitment. Influenced by his upbringing in a boy’s group home, Nathan is a staunch advocate for public service, inspired by President H.W. Bush’s ethos of the nobility of the calling to public service. Nathan’s life purpose is to “Inspire Others to a Greater Tomorrow,” Nathan continues to shape his journey in Aggieland, fostering growth, learning, and a legacy of service.
